Secret Pathways

(Dress: Vintage - The Hip Zipper, Vest: Express, Clutch: Aeropostale, Belt: Urban Outfitters, Ankle Boots: Nine West)

On one of my recent trips to Nashville, I picked up this great dress at a very cool vintage shop, The Hip Zipper. I always love a good floral, and I particularly fell for the cap sleeves and pleating down the front of this dress. For this outfit, I loved the contrast of the feminine dress with the tough ankle boots and masculine vest. I love pulling an outfit together with pieces and styles that aren't typically put together. The pink clutch that Aeropostale so kindly sent my way really brings out the pink flowers, and adds a finishing pop of color to the outfit.

A Little Party Never Killed Nobody

I recently had the incredibly fun time of attending a Great Gatsby themed party with two of my best friends, Anna and Avery. Before the glitz filled shindig, we stopped by The Spot, our local coffee shop, to fuel up on some caffeine in preparation of dancing the night away. The Jazz Age has always been my dream era, so anytime I'm granted the chance of getting dolled up in my finest flapper gear, I love to truly picture myself in the midst of the glamour and excitement that defined the Twenties, and what it must have been like to live in such an enchanting time.

Burnt Orange

(Shirt: J. Crew Factory, Button Up: Forever 21, Velvet Shorts: Asos, Heels: J. Crew, Bag: Kooba, Watch: Fossil

I recently picked up this scalloped lace shirt from J. Crew Factory. I love the fabric and fit so much, that I also got it in charcoal and beige. The orange is very dominant, so for the most part, I kept the rest of the colors in the outfit rather neutral. I did, however, throw in one last pop of color with the soft aqua of the bag. I topped the ensemble off with some of my favorite jewels and some tortoise sunnies to match my heels, and voila!

New Watches

(Tortoise: here, Rose Gold: here)

Hello, everyone! Just sharing my two new watches with you all. For such a long time, I have been completely obsessed with big faced watches, and the these two babies from Fossil immediately had me doing double takes. I loved this style so much, I got two colors! Plus, it doesn't hurt that the day I stopped by Fossil they were running a buy-one-get-one-half-off deal. I mean, who can say no to that? I'm particularly fond of this style because the narrow band really emphasizes how round and large the face is. Not only do watches keep me organized (I have absolutely no natural concept of time), but they can also be statement accessories that really pull a look together. Killing two birds with one stone, as they say.
