Big Apple Adventures

(Photos from previous New York trips... Some fairly recent... Some very, very old)

I'm so, so happy to say that I'm FINALLY back in my beloved New York City, this time for Teen Vogue Fashion University. For years, I have flipped through my Teen Vogue issues seeing the TVFU announcements and only dreamed of one day being able to attend. Well, I can't believe it, but that dream has actually become a reality! I'm so incredibly excited and I can't wait to fill you all in on my adventures around the Big Apple. Stay tuned and have a lovely day! xoxo

Green Is Good

(Skirt: Savoir-Faire, Shirt: Target, Denim Vest: Thrifted, Scarf: Thrifted, Boots: Asos, Earrings: Forever 21, Watch: Fossil)

Ok, let's be really real right now... How insanely awesome is this pencil skirt from Savoir-Faire?! I'm currently in complete and total awe of it and all of its green leather glory. I can't imagine a more perfect piece for adding an instant level of cool to any outfit. And, honestly, who doesn't want to look cool?

For the styling, I went with a more casual approach this time (because there will be MANY more times). I paired it with a silky black long sleeve shirt, a patterned scarf, a denim vest, and short tan boots. I threw on some funky earrings, my usual wrist-full of bracelets, my favorite rings, and there you have it.

Sweater Weather

(Sweater: Savoir-Faire, Denim Shirt: nowistyle, Jeans: BDG, Faux Fur Collar: Thieved from my mom's closet, Hat: Target, Shoes: Steve Madden, Necklace: Savoir-Faire)

One of my favorite simple pleasures in life is reaching for a cozy sweater and bundling up when the weather starts to get chilly. In the words of F. Scott Fitzgerald, "Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall." I've always loved this quote because I believe it to be completely true. There's some sort of optimism and rejuvenation that comes along with the changing of the leaves and the brisk breezes. The overall splendor of the fall season and all its beauty allows the hope of endless possibilities.

Thankfully, Savoir-Faire so kindly sent me this incredible sweater to help me properly welcome my favorite season of the year. Just go ahead and get ready, because it's a guarantee you all are going to be seeing much more of this great piece. It's everything anyone wants in a great sweater - warm, cozy, not at all fussy, and totally stylish. The perfect fall piece, if you ask me. I paired it with this awesome faux fur collar that was hiding away in my mom's closet, my favorite black jeans, a casual denim shirt, black patent leather lace-up shoes, and a plum colored hat. Also, the pop of gold detail in the necklace (another score from Savoir-Faire) really provided the cherry on top to this look.

Morning Light

(Cardigan: H&M, Shirt: Target, Pants: Gap, Sandals: Nine West, Glasses: Warby Parker, Watch: Fossil)

Hello, everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely Friday so far. Mom and I snapped these quick photos in the dining room during one of my lunch breaks this past week. This outfit was perfect for a long day of classes - comfortable enough to withstand the monotony of listening to lectures all day, yet put together enough to not feel like a total slob.

Santa Monica

(Blazer: Banana Republic, Dress: Asos, Sandals: Steve Madden, Bag: Vintage Louis Vuitton, Glasses: Warby Parker)

Not too long ago, Mom and I spent a very fun day in Santa Monica. I've always heard that Santa Monica is such a neat place to visit while on the West Coast, but I never truly expected to love it as much as I actually did. To me, it was exactly what I would expect a California coastal city to be - sunny, pleasant, relaxed, and full of life.
