I'm totally channeling Mary-Kate Olsen on this look. Using a scarf as a wrap shawl is something that she has perfected for years now, and it's definitely become one of my go-to layering tactics this fall. Speaking of layering, another look I'm really into right now is styling a dress over pants. I love the delicate chiffon over the tough leather. The mixture of multiple textures is my favorite part of this look.

The Overall Company

One of my favorite things about living in the Auburn/Opelika area, is visiting all of the wonderful local coffee shops. A favorite is The Overall Company. The cozy and authentically Southern setting sets the perfect backdrop to enjoy an incredible latté (because their lattés are 100% incredible).

With that being said, Ashley and I couldn't pass up a chance to shoot at such an awesome location. For this look, I started with some of my favorite pants. I mean, velvet and brocade? Oh, be still my heart... I paired the pants with an oversized linen poncho to create a flowing silhouette. And finally, to complete the outfit, I added some black ankle boots and my black Bayswater bag.

Ice

(Dress: Rebecca Taylor / Vest: Forever 21 - Similar: here / Bracelet: Vintage / Headband - Similar: here)

Here's another of the looks I styled for Teen Vogue's prom edition earlier this year. For this one, I really played up the whole ice queen dynamic of the dress, with its beautiful white lace and intricate crystal detailing. I paired the dress with a faux fur, pastel pink vest and a silver headband to incorporate more texture, all while playing up the ice-like effect. This look is one of my favorites because of the color palette. The white, silver, and pastel pink really complement each other and pull the look together.

A Stylish Engagement: Addi & Adam

I recently had the incredibly fun opportunity of teaming up with Ashley Kickliter to style one of her engagement shoots. Addi and Adam, being the beautiful duo that they are, made my job exceptionally easy. Even though, at one point, we were literally being chased by the rain, the photos could not have turned out any better.
