The movement I envisioned in this dress when I first spotted it captured me immediately. As imagined, it floats and glides like an exquisite dream, or at least the dress I would wear in my dreams. To give a nice contrast to the dusty blue, I wore a red lip. Being the red lip stick lover that I am, I have tried so many, and this one by Smashbox (attached below) does such a nice job. A few summers ago when I was living in New York, I was on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick. That, and the perfect French Toast in the city, but that's beside the point... However, if you are in fact interested to know, through my endeavors I found you absolutely cannot beat Cafe Cluny's. But regarding the perfect red, Infrared by Smashbox stays in place, is perfectly matte (yet not drying), and is the brightest apple red. For these photos, I applied it with my finger, starting at the center and allowing it to bleed out toward the edges of my lips, as to not give a perfect, clean line. For the rest of the look, I let the dress speak for itself and kept the accessories to a minimal... By my standards, at least. I can't seem to leave the house without my rings. I broke out my vintage black knee boots to pair with the look, as well. I'm very excited about cooler weather approaching because I can only seem to visualize outfits with tall boots this autumn.

I've been wanting to get in on this Realisation Par action since seeing the brand launch many moons ago. For what feels like forever, I've had a strong girl crush on Alexandra Spencer, Realisation Par's Creative Director. Obviously, we now know (as expected) that Realisation Par has blown up and become a go-to brand for every cool girl on the block (lol can I now be included in that, please?) Honestly, the only reason it's taken me so long to finally crack down and make a purchase is that I have loved every piece so much that I could never actually narrow down and decide. So here we have it, I went with the Bianca top in red star print, and I love it. But I will say, the only trouble I have had with this top is that I way overshot the sizing. I was wary to its being 100% silk crepe, therefore not having any stretch, and so I sized up. Granted, I should have looked more closely into the sizing chart that Realisation Par provides (hello, that's what it's there for, Hannah). So yes, anyway, the top is a bit larger than I'd prefer, and there's way too much fabric to tie it up in the front in the same way the brand styles it, so I wrap it all the way around and tie it in the back, which I also really like. I paired the top with a suede midi skirt I picked up at a vintage store while in New York this past spring. I'm really excited for this skirt when it gets a bit cooler out to pair with knee boots and chunky fishermen sweaters. That cool fall weather will be here before we know it (or maybe I just keep telling myself this because I'm really tired of sweating).
