Summertime, I'll Make You Mine

Mini-dresses are another summer staple of mine, particularly ones with cute little sleeves. I really love this one from Girls on Film. Pastel pink is one of my favorite colors to wear because I feel as though it compliments the paleness of my hair color. The metallic sheen and cool texture of this dress just packs an extra punch. To jazz it up a bit and add some color, I threw on my... wait for it... blue suede shoes. Well, peep-toe pumps, to be exact. But hey, I couldn't resist. I recently picked up this beautiful needlepoint bag at an antique store while on vacation. I thought it was really unique given that this style (or in my findings, at least) is typically made into a much smaller bag. Plus, the detailing of the flowers and gold clasp was just too beautiful to pass up. To bring the black of the bag into the rest of the look, I added an oversized tuxedo vest. I also really liked the contrast between masculine and feminine with the vest and the dress. To finish the look and combat the glare of the summer sun, I added my new cat eye sunnies from zeroUV. Seriously, if you are in need of some new sunglasses, check them out. Cool shades, cooler prices.
